Family photo?

I keep trying to get a good photo of Grace and her boys - a family photo, if you will. They have the nerve to keep moving around, coming over to check out the camera strap, etc. I wonder if I'll ever succeed.

Special kitty-mom

Grace continues to be the special kitty-mom, from cleaning Audace's neck and ears to eating grass with Ruse.

She cleans Ruse, too, when she can catch him; Audace isn't interested in eating grass! She is certainly an excellent mommy-cat!

Morning play time

These three are so funny in the mornings. They have LOTS of energy, of course, and race around, play, rattle the blinds until I raise them, etc., and then they wear themselves out around 10 or 11 am. First birthday

Yesterday, we believe, was the first birthday of Grace's babies - Audace, Ruse, Marigold, and Brutus. If it's not the exact day, it's pretty darned close!

A new pot of kitty grass was the best present of all. There were also times of play with Austen - in the bathroom with the water dripping in the sink. What cats could resist something THAT much fun! Grace had to help them, of course, and then afterward, they had to wash up!





Then last evening, for the first time in a long while, all three were snoozing together. (Usually Grace and Ruse are together, and Audace is somewhere nearby.) This seemed like an appropriate photo - snoozing together, but not as they were a year ago!

After the trip

I returned Tuesday evening from a visit to my son and his family. Here's the welcome I got when my luggage and I got home!!


My son has a wonderful little cat named Charlotte, and you can bet she had been all over my luggage at their house. In these photos, Audace and Ruse are checking her out!



Grace was totally bored by that whole scene and preferred to be right next to me in the office, snoozing and purring as I went through the umpteen emails that had built up!

Return

I was gone for a few days to visit my son and his family. Grace, Audace, and Ruse had lots of company, though, and Austen even stayed overnight with them once. I can tell that everyone had a wonderful time playing and such -- the sheets on the furniture were a mess, and toys and boxes and paper were everywhere!!

Right now, Grace is purring in her sleep right here near my chair -- alone with me! I wonder what "the boys" are doing!!

This Thursday's Thirteen

Thirteen pix, showing Grace and crew enjoying the heck out of the kitty afghans and wonderful mousie-toys that came in yesterday's mail for them! And I love the little charms. They're beautiful, Robyn. I'm thinking of ways I can keep them for myself!!

A Ruse-tummy on Tuesday

This one of the rare times that Ruse has slept on his side -- and was SOOO deeply asleep that he didn't even flinch when I took the pic.

Oh, that nice, soft, fluffy, fuzzy tummy -- I also couldn't resist rubbing it. Woke him up, but not for long!

Movie Monday

Here's a photo and a little movie of Audace after an afternoon at the Linehan house -- where they were busy cleaning, moving things around, playing, gardening, etc. He was one tuckered out little guy!
