Snoozin'

Usually, Grace's boys snooze near each other, especially when it's cooler in this house than what they're used to. 

Every once in a while, though, they decide to get really cozy!!

Very surprising!

This little scene blew me away last night. Usually Grace won't allow Audace to get anywhere close to her, but last night they were snoozing together! Amazing Grace!!

Grace snores!!

I've noticed that Grace snores for a while now ... not all the time, but it's there. I've heard Ruse purring in his sleep, but Grace's little snores are different!

What's hard for me to believe is that her snoring never wakes Ruse up, even when they're nearly nose to nose like this!!

Preferences! LOL!

It's been colder than usual for this late in February ... and it was warmer during most of January than usual, too. But that's all OK, because Grace and her boys don't really know much difference!

On this cold night, though, before I turned the furnace back on, Audace decided he'd rather cuddle up to Ruse for some good snoozin'. Grace, however, likes to keep her distance!

See the empty bed? Audace just wants to keep warm with his bro!

... or as close as she can get, even it it means hanging out of her own li'l bed!

When Ruse is cuddling up to his mommy, though, Audace will go off and find somewhere else to snooze ... in this case, one of the hammicks!

They are fairly congenial, but Grace can do without Audace!! 

Last post for 2012!

I've been taking photos of Grace and boys as they cuddle up and snooze together. They don't normally do this except during winter. I don't know why ... because I keep the furnace set at 69 or 70, and since they are indoor-onlys, how would they know the difference between summer and winter? Hmmm! Anyway, here are some of the more recent piles of orange and white!

This morning. Notice Audace's foot on Grace's belly. She must really be zonked out to tolerate this!!

Yesterday afternoon. Notice that Ruse needs to be in contact with his mom! This is not unusual!!

Two brothers ... almost always in touch!

I'm always amused at some of my little pals' weird places and positions for snoozing!

Here, Grace is half on that pillow and half on the arm of the couch! Clearly, she doesn't want to be disturbed!

And Ruse ... he likes to be on or near anything of mine. Here, he's commandeered my housecoat!

This is a fun shot of Ruse and his mommy snoozin' together -- and Ruse is using my Kindle as his pillow. Sometimes he does that with my phone or a TV remote ... whatever's handy!

Audace goes off into other rooms for his serious snoozin' -- usually on a dining chair or under a bed!

These guys sleep in the oddest spaces!

Audace has usurped Grace's bed ... even though he's too big for it!

And Ruse seems to prefer snuggling up between two stacks of couch pillows ... the less space, the better!

Who can predict 'em? I sure can't!

They think they're hiding!

Audace and Ruse seem to have perfected the art of disappearing during most days, especially in the mornings and early afternoons. In the first two photos, Audace's back feet are giving him away. He must think it's cool under that bed, though, because he's there just about every morning after 9 am!

In the two photos below, both Audace and Ruse are snoozin' under a chair and footrest in my room. They do love these nice, cave-like places!

Fun, fun, fun ... zzzzzzzzzz!

This morning, as I went from my bedroom to the TV room and kitchen, Audace zipped out of my closet and raced into the rest of the rooms with a strand of yarn in his mouth. He was VERY happy! Following is a series of photos that illustrate his joy. Ruse joined him in the chase, too, but Ruse is harder to photograph when he's on the move!

I'd rewind the yarn, and they'd play again, then I'd rewind it and they'd play, and on and on. They kept this up for quite a while, surprising me.

He was all wound up in the yarn and suddenly lay down and almost went to sleep! So I took all the yarn off him - that was quite a job!

A few minutes later, I found the abandoned, mostly unwound ball of yarn in the kitchen!

And here they are, snoozing away!

They must have played with that yarn for a good 75-90 minutes. That's a long time to keep something like that up! Now they've been asleep for about 3 hours! No surprise there!!

Ruse loves this, day or night -- cuddling up to his momma.

Grace is OK with it most of the time.

Audace disappears for several hours in the middle of the day,

and here's one of his fave spots to curl up and snooze.

He wasn't pleased when I wanted to get a close-up of him!

And this is Grace's fave spot in the afternoons.

This was amazing the other evening.

She just barely tolerated having Audace this near to her!!

A VERY unusual event!

After posting that Grace won't have anything to do with Audace ... won't cuddle with him or anything ... they made a liar out of me the other night. Wouldn't you know!!!

It just HAS to be that magic blankie!!

More snoozin'

It hasn't been very warm lately, and this is how Grace and boys spend their evenings.

Grace won't cuddle up with Audace, though ... ever!

She and Ruse are most often snoozin' like this.

Audace will cuddle up with Ruse at times, but mostly he snoozes by himself. I can tell when he's REALLY tuckered out -- his head is at some angle of "upside-down"!!

I know I need to work on getting more action shots.

Gotta keep the camera out all the time instead of just some of the time!!
