Last post for 2012!

I've been taking photos of Grace and boys as they cuddle up and snooze together. They don't normally do this except during winter. I don't know why ... because I keep the furnace set at 69 or 70, and since they are indoor-onlys, how would they know the difference between summer and winter? Hmmm! Anyway, here are some of the more recent piles of orange and white!

This morning. Notice Audace's foot on Grace's belly. She must really be zonked out to tolerate this!!

Last night! 

Yesterday afternoon. Notice that Ruse needs to be in contact with his mom! This is not unusual!!

Climbing toy ... continued

Ruse is the one who will climb the "ladder" on the closet door. Grace and Audace don't seem to be interested anymore, but as long as one kitty likes it, I'll keep it!

Here, he seemed to be telling me, "No! I don't want to get down yet!!"

Contemplating jumping down ... but he ended up staying there a while longer!

Ruse's trip to the v-e-t!

Last Thursday, Ruse had his two-month-overdue visit to the v-e-t. It was just for his annual check-up, and he is absolutely fine and healthy!

He sure didn't like that ride in the car, though! All of about 8 miles, but he clearly was upset! Thankfully, he is very healthy and is only a teeny bit overweight. He even let one technician give him a mani and pedi! One!! It's always taken two people before this!!

Finally, this morning, Audace and Ruse started playing on it.

Helping a friend

To everyone in the cat-blogging community ~

A friend of ours is facing unexpected medical issues and bills ... and he needs our help, along with our purrs and prayers. If many different people and kittehs help by donating what they can, then it's amazing what obstacles can be overcome!

Kiril, along with his trusty pals Professor Nikita and Miss Elvira, has been hosting most of the Carnival of the Cats collections on Sunday nights for quite a while now, and they do a wonderful job. Have you read them? Each collection is well put together and helps us all get to know our fellow bloggers and kittehs more and better!

Kiril, Nikita, and Elvira are some of the bravest people I know. They pulled up roots and moved to Texas in September, and they are now adjusting to life in the big city. Kiril is learning how to use Metro and is on the job-hunt, while Professor Nikita and Miss Elvira keep the home fires burning!

More dinner-begging!!

Audace continues to beg for dinner -- starting in about 3:00 each afternoon. 

Dinnertime for them is between 4:30 and 5:00 for these three, but he doesn't care. 

Who knows? Someday all this begging just might work!

Happy fall!!

Grace was helping figure out what fall decorations we should use and where! She's a great snoopervisor!

She also had to control her sons ... little butt-in-skis that they are!

First Ruse (above) and then Audace (below). They just can't give their mom any peace!

We decided to use the big wreath on the front door and put the other items on the dining and kitchen tables. Grace is so artsy! She really helps make the right choices!!

Ruse ... relaxed!

You can always tell when a cat trusts you ... he (or she!!) relaxes completely! And isn't that the softest, most snorgleable tummy you ever saw???  =)

Livestrong 2012

In honor of Anne and all cancer survivors ...
and in Memory of Vic and Lilly Lu and all who have gone before us.

We are just heartbroken about the loss of Lilly Lu. We loved going to HER BLOG and reading about her push-and-pull relationship with her housemates and her love for her mom, Laura. 

We know there have been many, MANY sad days lately. All we have to do is go onto Facebook to realize how frequently these things happen, but that doesn't make it any easier to get past these miserable times. 

Please stop by Laura Fritz's page on Facebook or Lilly Lu's blog (linked above) to give your condolences to her family. They really miss her terribly.

Purrs and Prayers

We are purring and praying for Ann and all her family and friends.

And we are purring and praying for Tamir to straighten himself out. We want him to follow the example of Anne's Cabernet and come through this to live to be an "old man."

We hope everyone out there is purring and praying, too.

UPDATE 9/20/2012: Tamir has gone to the Bridge, and we are purring and praying for his family left behind.
