From ancient Greek literature: "There was a dog lying in a manger who did not eat the grain but who nevertheless prevented the horse from being able to eat anything either." So ... is Audace acting like a dog in the manger here? Sure looks like it!! He doesn't seem to want to share those S-toys with anyone ... not even with his brother!!
Looking around ... making sure ...
Ahhhh, coast is clear ...
Nope! There's my bro ...
And sure enough ... there's Ruse, wondering why Audace isn't sharing with him!

that is one SWEET scratcher you have!!!
Those scratchers look well loved.
That is really funny!!
It is a kitty's prerogative not to share! Not even with other kitties.
That's so funny.
My mother used to call that behavior the "dog with the old biscuit". I think that is the east Texas version.
It's been around a while, that's for sure. And it's always the dog!
They love those S-loungers, too.
Ours are like that, very "loved".
Cute! Around here sometimes we have to wait in line to enjoy the scratcher. Hugs and nose kisses from Chancy and Company to all of you Keep enjoying that fine scratcher.
The boys are so cute!!! That scratcher looks like fun!
I have 2 cats and they're also brothers. Sharing? Pff! lol! One of them is sitting with me at the moment and his face says he is in full agreement with Audace.
This was my first time taking part in weekend cat blogging and that's how I found your blog :)
So very relieved to read on the CB that Ann came through her surgery so well. Sending mega-purrs for her recovery!
We have a scratcher similar to those - but ours is called a wave scratcher!!
Hey, so glad to hear that Anne's surgery went well yesterday! We hope she recovers quickly.
Their brother Brutus adores his S-scratcher, too! He hasn't yet shredded it into submission yet (he's done that to my sofa!) The Royals have just one, but that's no problem, since Brutus uses it like a piece of Pilates equipment!
Audace U better share with your brother
We are relieved that that last surgery went well. We are purring and praying for Ann.
All of you are in our thoughts.
Just a note to say how relieved we are to hear Anne is doing well.
While her surgery was far more extensive than my own, it takes strong ties to keep our moods up as the body goes about it's business of healing.
Anne is blessed to have that support.
Peace
